Fair? You want to complain about fair?
This one is going to meander all over the place, just warning you now. 
As a lot of you know I had a 4 day weekend. I had taken Friday and Monday off and the original plan was to go to California, visit and workout with Nancy and see a giant mouse. Well as a lot of you know.. I still don’t have my tax refund, so that trip got canceled. I did go into the IRS building last week and was told that the notice for Chris’ ITIN was just mailed out that day, so it was still going to be 4-6 weeks!!!!! OMG!!! I have that down payment check that they are going to try and cash just after the 4th of July weekend!! They cash that without my refund in my account, I’m totally screwed!!! No money for rent, groceries, or anything!!!! I asked the guy if he could please put a rush on it, as I was told it was going to be 4-6 weeks 3 months ago!!! He said he’d “try” it.. gee thanks. I think he was new cuz he was so freakin slow!! UG!!!
Then a friend of mine from work told me about this place that can help you with you greencard.. financially and with the forms. We go in there on Friday and he gives us a list of all the stuff we need to submit with the forms.. yeah, know all that. Then he tells us the fees, yep we know that.. we came in because we were told you offer financial assistance for obtaining the card… goes away from the desk, comes back and says that you can apply for a waiver of the fees, but for the type we need to file, it wounld almost guarentee a denial of the greencard, because I have to be able to afford to keep Chris off welfare!!!!! Ok, I can afford to keep him off welfare, I just can’t afford the $1500 at one shot to pay all the stupid ass fees!!! So basically, and sorry if this offends anyone, we are the wrong race!!! If we were hispanic/Mexican, they would have helped no problem, but because we’re white, nope forget it!! It really and truly pisses me off!!!
Yesterday we planned to go to the movies, something we haven’t done since November. We were taking Mikayla, because quite frankly I don’t really have anyone to watch her. I get people offering all the time, but then they never give me their phone #.. what’s up with that? Anyway, we were sitting at home before we left and we got a knock on our door… a lady from the apartment office.. “Did you realize you haven’t signed a new lease yet?” um.. actually, yeah, but we’ve been waiting for the stupid tax refund to see if we were going to be able to afford to move to a 2 bedroom, less bug infested apartment, closer to work. So we were talking to her about maybe transferring to a 2 bedroom apt here, and she said she’d look into it. Turns out they are charging about $90 LESS for the rent on our apartment than what we are paying.. and a 2 bedroom? We were last told it was $100 more than what we’re paying… nope! only about $10-20 more.. ok sign us up!! Only thing is we have to come up with a $200 transfer fee… so, not sure when we will have that. Was thinking I might have it this Friday, but got to thinking about that downpayment check out there and thought maybe we should wait on that… SUCKS!!!!
Saturday was Chris’ b-day. We were supposed to go out to a late lunch with some friends.. they canceled and moved it to Sunday, after I’d already declared Saturday my cheat day and had eaten 2 donuts and a blueberry muffin!!! I was quite mad to say the least!! Ended up eating almost 3000 calories, because we then ended up getting chinese, and with my allergy to sesame, I’m super limited to what I can eat… (plus still not totally liking all veggies like broccoli) and don’t like seafood… so Sunday I think I did ok, but I can’t find anything close to what I had on any of the websites to even give me a guesstimite on the calories.. oh well..
We saw Star Trek yesterday. It was really good!! Mikayla did really well!! She was a little monkey, climbing all over me and wiggling around, but she only fussed once when her bottle was empty and I had to make another one… in the dark.. LOL that was fun!! Chris took her over to the hallway and walked with her there while I made the bottle so she wouldn’t fuss, and he could still watch the movie. Now I know for Harry Potter to have at least 2 bottles already made up!! She was totally fascinated with the giant “TV” screen though!! LOL She didn’t know where to look!!!
Well off to work, gonna hit the treadmill there today for some cardio. Didn’t really get a workout in yesterday, just some walking around the mall a bit.. lite cardio.. hehe.. at a snails pace!!

sound slike you had a rotten weekend. Sorry about that. I have a question though. Why are the fees for your greencard so high? I paid something in the line of 700 .. okay I had to pay twice because my greencard got stollen out of my mailbox and had to redo the entire process.. How come yours is 1500?
Damn girl, with all this going on, I can understand why your upset and frustrated. You know, i’m learning during times of high stress, sometimes the only thing to do is get by a step at a time–simple as it sounds. Ohhh, crossing my fingers so you guys can hurry up and get that income tax money!!!
200 dollar transfer fee—that is so outrageous. For goodness sakes, its not like they have to physically move you–its filling out a few papers or a few minutes on the computer. Seems like fees are sucking the life out of a financial budget. Shakes head. (sorry, little mini rant there) lol.

Im not sure if you applied for the ITIN after you filed the return but if you did and your exemptions/credits werent allowed because it was missing from the return and they have already assigned you a number and you just haven’t received it, they should be able to look it up and add it to your return by phone you’ll have your refund in 2-3 wks.
If you applied when you got with the tax return it should take a total of 14 weeks 6 wks for the w7 to process and then 8 wks for a mailed in return.

The greencard is as high as it is because I have to file a petition for him as my husband and then he has to file his thing too.. I can’t remember right now which forms they are…
Poetry, we filed his W7 with my 1040 around the middle of March… and they keep telling us it’s gona take longer and longer.. and it really annoys me that they always need your refund amount when your checking on the status of your refund.. my computer crashed taking that info with it, and since it’s been so long I have no freakin idea what my refund amt is!! So I get frustrated at not being able to check my status!! aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Wow I really hope they get your money back to you like they said they would. It isn’t right that they did that to you and now you have that check out there. This would totally screw you up!.
